Gordy Sasser
Gordy has been pole vaulting for more than half of his life. He now
resides in Jonesboro, Arkansas, with his wife, Amy, and their two children,
Louis and Chloe. He works full time during the week as a loan officer
and trains at Bell
Athletics . He also coaches the other PVU athletes on weekends when
he can make it to the new PVU location in Cecil, Arkansas.

Gordy's pole vault accomplishments 1992 - Present:
1992 - 1995
Attended Alma High School in Alma, Arkansas
Held the school record jump of 14'10"
Jumped 15'5" the summer before starting college
Placed 8th at the Junior Olympics
1996 - 1999
Attended the University of Arkansas
Part of 6 Track & Field National Championships including a Triple Crown
in 1999
All-SEC
Jumped 5.18m as a Razorback
2nd place finish at SEC Track & Field Championships
2000
Attended the University of Arizona

2nd place finish at Mt. Pac Championships
Jumped 5.25m as a Wildcat
Graduated in May 2000
