Gordy Sasser
 
Gordy has been pole vaulting for more than half of his life. He now resides in Jonesboro, Arkansas, with his wife, Amy, and their two children, Louis and Chloe.  He works full time during the week as a loan officer and trains at Bell Athletics.  He also coaches the other PVU athletes on weekends when he can make it to the new PVU location in Cecil, Arkansas. 
 
Gordy's accreditations include:
  •  Certified personal trainer
  •  Certified USATF official
  •  USATF lifetime member
  •  USATF club member
  •  Celebrity Bootcamp Trainer - as seen on the upcoming second season of Bravo's Real Housewives of New York

Gordy's pole vault accomplishments 1992 - Present:

1992 - 1995

  •  Attended Alma High School in Alma, Arkansas
  •  Held the school record jump of 14'10"
  •  Jumped 15'5" the summer before starting college
  •  Placed 8th at the Junior Olympics

1996 - 1999

  •  Attended the University of Arkansas
  •  Part of 6 Track & Field National Championships including a Triple Crown in 1999
  •  All-SEC
  •  Jumped 5.18m as a Razorback
  •  2nd place finish at SEC Track & Field Championships

2000

  • Attended the University of Arizona
  •  All Pac-10
  •  2nd place finish at Mt. Pac Championships
  •  Jumped 5.25m as a Wildcat
  •  Graduated in May 2000

Summer 2000

  • Joined Complete Madness Sports with agent Warren Hill
  •  Jumped in Europe.
  •  Jumped 5.41m in Jyvaskyla, Finland

2001

  •  Moved to Mobile, Alabama
  •  Trained at the University of South Alabama with Clark Humphreys

2002

  •  Moved to Northwest Arkansas

2003

  •  Put on first street vault in Arkansas in Hot Springs with Morry Sanders

2004

  •  Put on first street vault in Northwest Arkansas

2005

  •  Pole Vault Unlimited was founded

2007

  •  Webcasted our first meet at the PVU facility with great success.  People in many different parts of the world watched.

2008

  •  Moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas
  •  Training with Earl Bell
