Update

Last week was basically a rest week with active recovery training. We started of the week with a good vault session. Still at 14 steps and jumping on 4.75m poles. Moved the grip up some and working on the timimg before the next comp at Monroe this weekend.

We had a relaxing weekend at the cabin and caught an 8lb bass in the rain. That has to be the biggest ever for me. Louis caught tons of fish and hooked into a big fish that nearly pulled him in the water before breaking the line.

Update

We had a good midweek jump session. Made a move to inch the grip up and get on bigger poles quickly. Ended up holding above 15ft on a 16.5 4.75m pole. The six inch increase in grip changed the timing just a bit but we will figure all that out at Ole Miss tomorrow. See you there.

Update

We had a couple good vault sessions over the past week. Starting to move bigger poles and get consistant jumps over bars. We will be at Ole Miss this weekend and look to have another good progression day and make some bars before movin back on runs.

Update

Tuesday we jumped outside for the first time. Descent winds and temps. It was good to get outside away from a meet atmosphere and work out some of the changes on the run and deal with the variables. Looks like we should have good conditions at LSU this weekend and expect to have success.

Update

We had our first meet this weekend at UL-Lafayette. The conditions weren't great, but it gave us a chance to be in a competition atmoshpere. We had a tough warm up with perception of the box and got it figured out just before the competition. Then we were behind and never got to the right pole during the meet, so we got a NH, but with good information for the coming weeks. This week we will vault outdoors and work on figuring out the right poles from 14 steps. Headed to LSU on Friday.

Update

We had a good jump session from 14 steps yesterday. Really agressive on the runway and committed at the box. Moved grip up to 14.9. Headed to Lafayette this weekend as long as it doesn't get rained out.
